Reporting into the CIO of Strive Marketing Services (Pty) LTD , as the Data Analyst, you support the development of datasets to improve the performance of our data for clients to ensure superior sales and earnings for Strive.

Responsibilities

  • Data extractions for campaigns based on criteria selections provided by clients and or the Business Performance Manager
  • Disposition data management, analysis and reporting
  • Optimise data selections based on incoming feedback, update and manage SQL Scripts
  • Manage and set up new campaigns with API integrations
  • Data deduping, and running datasets against the DMA Opt-outs
  • Manage and merge data into our master data universes
  • Manage the SFTP sites with uploading and downloading of datasets for file delivery and receipt
  • Write SQL scripts to clean up datasets and standardise data sheets
  • Maintain data dictionaries and documentation of all customer processes and deliverables to do with the data
  • Assist fellow colleagues with campaign execution and reporting stats [re-importing execution results for data optimization]. (Email campaigns, SMS campaigns, data input vs output)

Person

  • Post matric qualifications (Quantitative or IT subjects are advantageous)
  • 3+ years working experience
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages databases (SQL etc.)
  • Strong SQL scripting and database management
  • Strong Excel skills (VBA Excel is advantageous)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Background or strong interest in related technology solutions
  • Excellent verbal/written communications and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability in self-motivated and high responsibility for daily work. Proven ability to work in a team environment and multi-task to produce quality client deliverables
  • Have strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint required)
  • Python, PowerShell, Node.JS Scripting would be advantageous.
